Candidates should be officials from Scientific/Research/Teaching Institutions/Universities/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies under Central/State Governments, satisfying the following conditions:

Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre, OR

Having a minimum of ten years of experience in the relevant field of accounts in Central/State Government Department, PSU, Scientific/Research/Teaching Institute/University/Autonomous Body under Central/State Governments.

Possessing qualifications prescribed for direct recruits i.e., CA/ICWA/M.Com/SAS.
